Reflecting on an Inspiring Day Hosting the Daisy Education Reading Summit

It was an absolute honour to be invited by Daisy Education to host their recent Reading Summit. Bringing together educators, leaders, and specialists from across the country to focus on evidence-informed practices and the joy of reading was a truly rewarding experience.

A huge thank you to the team at Daisy Education and Inspirational Speakers for the invitation and for organising such a vital event for the education community. It was a privilege to share the virtual stage with an incredible lineup of inspirational speakers who provided such valuable insights into literacy and pupil wellbeing.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the brilliant speakers who made the summit so impactful:

  • Emma Kell – Who shared powerful perspectives on wellbeing and professional integrity.
  • Professor Helen Breadmore – For her deep dive into evidence-informed approaches to literacy and reading development.
  • Daniel Sobel – For his global expertise on inclusive education and practical strategies for the classroom.
  • Dan Jones – Who brought fantastic classroom-based insights to the day’s discussions.

The energy and commitment shown by everyone involved to improve reading outcomes for every learner was truly inspiring. I am grateful to have played a part in such a dedicated community.
