So Why WORKPLACE Wellbeing motivation??
Health, wellbeing & productivity in offices is vital for an overall outcome of a business’s success at the end of a year. Small changes to individuals can have a cumulative effect on productivity.
Wellbeing is a critical element in any office environment
The benefits of employee wellbeing
Employee wellbeing is linked with higher satisfaction at work, improved teamwork and healthy social connections among colleagues and especially between managers and staff.
When workers are happy, their productivity increases by 15%! For employers, this translates to a more stable workplace environment, reduced costs related to absenteeism and turnover.
Here are 3 ways to improve employee wellbeing and enhance satisfaction and productivity in the workplace:
1- A little competition never hurt anyone! Setting up fitness challenges for your team will help motivate them to care for their physical health and develop your company’s interpersonal relationships. Whether it’s steps per month or a distance challenge, you can give your employees a goal to work towards and allow colleagues to spur one another on.
2- Social wellbeing – refers to reward and recognition, employee voice, inclusion, diversity, community
activities and family-friendly policies. Is there a culture of team work, trust and
respect? Is the workplace inclusive?
Breathe in for a count of 7, then breathe out for a count of 11
Continue for 5 – 10 minutes or longer if you can, and enjoy the calming effect.
Tips to make the most of the exercise:
- Make sure you’re doing deep ‘diaphragmatic breathing’ rather than shallower breathing. This means breathingas deep down into your stomach as you can. Your diaphragm should be moving down and also pushing your stomach when you take a breath.
