Courtney Orange a former six times international gymnastics champion has edutained with some interesting activitiesand given his motivational speech to a number of schools in Kent.
Smarden School in Ashford, Kent had the privilege of having Courtney Orange instruct them through a series of exercises ahead of their assembly. 130 pupils who attend the school found the activity and inspiring story of Courtney Orange so entertaining and motivating.
Courtney even managed to get a couple of the teachers to learn a few gymnastics and dance moves. You can just imagine the pupils were over the moon after seeing their teachers in action.
With well-being at one of the focuses of the school and the borough of Kent, Courtney was brought in to the school through the ever so popular company called Sports for schools.
A wellbeing noticeboard that is placed in the staff room cements the values of the school and what both the staff and the students stand for.
The activity energising exercises usually take between 45 minutes to one hour depending on the number of pupils in each class. The motivating speech that Courtney gives, where he tells his story as a former gymnast is usually between 20 minutes to 30 minutes long.
The key elements that Courtney talks about in his speeches cover Resilience, Wellbeing & overcoming failure. Courtney’s powerful mantra of “I Can Do It” gets repeated by the children to reinforce the key message.
