Getting connected with nature is something so simple, but is taken for granted. Touching the leaves of a tree, sitting on the grass or simply staring into a fish tank, are very simple ways that absolutely anybody can connect with nature. Connecting with nature gives us a huge sense of awareness and helps to calm many people.
- Imagination run wild
Why don’t you try sitting or standing still for two minutes and let your POSITIVE imagination run absolutely wild. Spending time alone and giving ourselves a time to think how to settle down the heartbeat and enhance our positivity.
- Dance
Moving the body in any way gets the blood pumping. Absolutely anybody can feel the rhythm or beat of music. The average length of a song is three minutes. That is all it takes to get get down and dance, get the blood pumping and endorphins flowing to fill your body with happiness and good vibes.
- Listen to jokes
Listening to comedy or reading a few jokes can trigger off those much-needed happy hormones. All it takes is to type in to Google, “write me a joke” or “play me a joke”. Reading or listening to the joke will take the mind away from any stress that you might be going through.
- Open body stances before stressful moments
As the body language expert (Amy Cuddy) says herself, take up open body stances. If you are looking at yourself in the mirror, waiting for a bus or standing having a conversation. By opening up your shoulders, pushing out your chest, getting your chin up massively triggers off positivity, a sense of confidence throughout any anxious, pressurised or stressful situation.
